A story 14 years in the making, I Am Belmaya was released in Oct 2021. It's an intimate and inspirational documentary (81mins) about an uneducated young Dalit woman in Nepal, who I met when she was just 14 in 2006, when I taught photography to a group of disadvantaged girls. Having fallen back into poverty and an abusive marriage, Belmaya sets forth on transformational journey to make films herself, taking the camera and power into her own hands to change her story. The executive producer is renowned independent doc producer Christopher Hird of Dartmouth Films. Trailer

THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MOLLY
Molly the black Labrador was a one-of-a-kind dog who won the hearts of everyone she met. Weaving old footage (shot on a Sony Handycam, a digital compact Sony camera and an early iPhone) with her own story and interviews with two of Molly's greatest fans, Sue explores what it was that made her dog so special. A tribute that highlights the bond between humans and their dogs. Winner, Best Short Documentary, International Good Dog Film Festival, Sydney; Official Selection, New York Dog Film Festival.
